TikToker claims cinema staff can see anything you do in the theater

A movie worker went viral on TikTok after sharing a reality few of us were aware of: they can see everything going on in our seats.
The video, posted by user @ .no1headache on TikTok, has already received more than 15.3 million views and 62,200 comments since it was posted on Monday.
“When people come to the movies with their sneaky connection to play bad,” the on-screen text read. In the background was a large screen with security footage from multiple cameras. The screen showed the interior of the theaters and had different angles from each.
In the video, the woman wore an orange Vue Theaters hat and looked back and forth across the screen for security camera footage. “We see everything!” the caption of the video played.
In the comments, the employee also mentioned that he had night vision goggles and therefore had “seen everything”. Many users have inundated comments that they are more afraid of employees watching them eat all the outdoor food they’ve snuck into.
“So you all see me pulling my whole fridge out of my bag,” one user commented. Another joked that they once brought a large pizza into the theater.
Others joked about the inappropriate things employees might have witnessed.
“I’m going to have to charge you for the content I created there,” one user joked.
“Me in 8th grade [clown emoji]another user said.
In October, someone claiming to be a former AMC employee revealed that employees don’t care about people bringing their own food to the theater.
In the video, which has been viewed over 1.1 million times, a woman claimed that she worked in an AMC theater and that employees actually cannot stop people from bringing food to the. outside.
“We can’t legally stop you from bringing food into the movie theater,” she said in the video. “If you just say ‘I have to eat’ we literally can’t do anything.”
But many users had conflicting opinions in the comments, including people who said it wasn’t true, and others sharing their personal experiences.
“I have food from Postmate to AMC in the middle of a movie,” one user commented. “They don’t care.”

“Someone ate chicken parmigiana the other night,” wrote another. “With bread and salad.”
But other reviewers have mentioned that they are the managers of a movie theater and that is not true.
“It’s a violation of the health code, I don’t make the rules,” the person said in the comments. But another person responded to the comment saying, “I’m a manager too and that’s actually okay.”
News week contacted Vue Theaters for comment.
