Superhero Movie Actors Supposed To Have ‘Little Roles’ But Stole The Show
With every comic book movie, we get a plethora of superhero movie actors. Some of the actors in superhero movies are good. But some of them are so legendary despite their very small roles in the movie.
El Diablo – Jay Hernandez
Chato Santana was once a hardened mob agent from Los Angeles. Her metahuman ability to produce and control flames proved very useful to the Los Angeles Mafia when they wanted to send a message. After accidentally killing her family, Santana is imprisoned and later joins the Suicide Squad. The reason fans loved El Diablo was because he seemed like the only “criminal” on the team with a moral compass. He knew he had done bad things and there was nothing he could do to redeem it. At the end. El Diablo sacrificed his own life fighting the Enchantress to save the team. Jay Hernandez did a great job in a rather bland superhero movie.
Perry WhiteLaurence Fishburne
He had very few appearances in Man of Steel. But has that stopped Laurence Fishburne from making her presence felt? This legendary actor owned the role of Perry White, the Daily Planet shooter. White has always been presented as a sassy boss with good jokes and one-liners. And when you ask a legendary actor like Fishburne to play the part, you’ll get all the nerve in the world. Even the dialogue Perry White delivers in the film is funny and interesting. We would have liked to see him more in future DCEU projects.
J Jonah Jameson – JK Simmons
For three entire films, JK Simmons played the iconic editor of the Daily Bugle. Jameson was already a famous character in the Spider-Man comics. But JK Simmons took things to a whole new level. The actor manages to capture the essence of Jameson – arrogant, overconfident and a no frills go-getter. He wants what he wants and if you say no he will laugh at you and fire you, to start the process all over again. There’s a reason there are so many JK Simmons J Jonah Jameson memes. the guy is just SO good.
Quicksilver – Evan Peters
Peters was so good that he played the same character in two different movie franchises owned by two different studios that were once rivals. We all remember that slow motion scene in Days Of Future Past. This scene will go down in history as one of the greatest superhero movie scenes of all time. Peters played a very vulnerable yet super confident mutant hero who, due to his super speed, has all the time in the world. In WandaVision, Peters’ Quicksilver received even more layers and the character fleshed out. Things like this are always a welcome addition to the lore of superhoor movie actors.
Karun – Harish Patel
He may not be an Eternal, but he definitely has a superpower – unlimited cameras. The guy has a camera for every occasion. And he is loyal to Kingo until the fault. Watching superhero movie actors like Harish Patel do his thing is easily one of the best parts of being an MCU fan. Whether you liked the movie or not, you have to admit that Karun made us fall in love with him every time he made an appearance. If an Eternals 2 ever happens, we’d really like Harish Patel to return as Karun in the sequel.
Lucifer – Peter Stormare
Stormare is definitely one of Hollywood’s most underrated actors. The guy continues to steal the show every time. In the 2005 film Constantine, Stormare played the role of Lucifer. The white suit, the acid dripping from his feet, and the pale skin coupled with his creepy, calm demeanor as an agent of death were just too much for fans to handle. I’m not going to lie, we still miss Stormare a little. Superhero movie actors may come and go, but Stormare’s Lucifer is forever.
