Sony says there is a plan for Spider-Man to connect to their spin-offs
When Spider-Man: No Coming Home hitting theaters in December, the deal that allows the web-slinger to move between Marvel Studios and Sony will be officially terminated. In the meantime, Sony is building a whole spin-off universe centered around Peter Parker’s worst enemies, starting with Venom, Carnage, Morbius, etc. Recently, the studios announced an upcoming feature film focused on Kraven the hunter. And the list could grow in the future, according to Sony Pictures Motion Picture Group chairman Sanford Panitch.
âWe don’t really think of our 900 characters like the Spidey verse,â Panitch said, speaking with Variety. âWe have a Marvel universe. The volume of characters that we have – you know, wait till you see that then Venom. You do not miss Spider Man. “
At the moment, Sony’s plan for Spider-Man’s future is unclear. Hypothetically, the producers could bring Peter Parker back to the Sony Pictures universe of Marvel characters, to face off against all kinds of villains. In addition, there are many clues that Spider-Man: No Coming Home could introduce the multiverse.
âThere is actually a plan,â he said. “I think now maybe it’s getting a little clearer to people where we’re headed and I think when No coming home fate, even more will be revealed.
And while Panitch hasn’t ruled out that they could strike a new deal with Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios, it looks like there are plenty of ideas for Peter’s future. Including the Sinister Six, which is something fans have to see.
“That would be very cool, wouldn’t it?” », Concluded Panitch.
