Slam Dunk returns to theaters with a brand new movie, and it’s gearing up for the launch of its very first trailer with a new poster highlighting some very crucial details ahead of its launch later this year! Fans may have noticed how a number of classic anime and manga franchises have made a comeback over the past few years, and Takehiko Inoue’s Slam Dunk franchise is now next as Toei Animation and Shueisha have announced that the franchise will be getting a trademark. new movie, officially titled The First Slam Dunk.

The first Slam Dunk is slated for release in all theaters in Japan from December 3. While there’s no word yet on a potential international release for the new film, The first Slam Dunk revealed a new poster to help tease the full release. Not only that, but he also announced that fans can expect to see the new trailer for the film on the film’s official YouTube page on July 7th. Given that we’ve only had teasers so far, this will be the first full look at what to expect from the new feature.

The current workforce planned for The first Slam Dunk include original series creator Takehiko Inoue, who will write and direct the film himself for Toei Animation. He will be joined in the team with Yasuyuki Ebara as character designer and animation director, Daiki Nakazawa as CG director, Yuta Ogura as CG producer, Kazuo Ogura as art director, Yota Tsuruoka and Koji Kasamatsu as sound directors, and Katsuhiko Kitada, Naoki Miyahara, Toshio Ohashi, and Yu Kamatani technical directors

If you wanted to take a look at the original 101-episode series from the slam dunk anime produced by Toei Animation, you can now find it streaming with Crunchyroll. They describe the series as follows: “Hanamichi Sakuragi, a freshman at Shohoku High, holds a record for being rejected by 50 girls in middle school. Since the last girl turned him down for a guy from the team of basketball, Sakuragi was traumatized by the sport.
