“Raiders of the Lost Ark” will screen for Science on Screen at the Art Center Cinema

The next Science on Screen® at the Cinéma du Center d’Art arrives on Tuesday! And it’s free!
Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Art Center Cinema, 150 S. Santa Fe Avenue. After the film, stick around for Science on Screen®, with guest speaker Reese Barrick, director of the Sternberg Museum at Fort Hays State University. Barrick will discuss modern technology in archaeology.
Now in its sixth season at the Art Center Cinema, Science on Screen® is a nationwide initiative to promote science literacy through entertainment, inspiring audiences to further appreciate STEM subjects – science, technology, engineering and math, according to a release from film press. On-screen science at the Art Center is free for everyone.
Other Science on Screen presentations that have been scheduled include the following.
March 22 – National Science Night on Screen – Film: first manfollowed by a Zoom chat with Astronaut Mark “Forger” Stucky, who will discuss the future of commercial space travel.
April 26 – tortilla soup, followed by a discussion with Chef Izaac Winter. Winter will discuss the “science of the first bite” and why food makes us so happy.
