Production Manager, Stay Tuned At NBCUniversal, LLC

Job duties:
⢠Oversee production planning, content lifecycle as well as team and host schedules
⢠Plan, organize and communicate production schedules to align with designated deadlines and work with producers to meet them
⢠Coordinate resources, equipment and items to support an efficient production pipeline
⢠Collaborate with the post-production manager to ensure that editors are appropriately assigned to ST projects
⢠Track and manage project deliverables, requests and planning across all phases to meet deadlines
⢠Manages the onboarding and training process for new team members
⢠Manages host assignments and filming schedule for daily show shoots and additional interviews / shoots, including host coverage as needed in coordination with other parts of NBC News
⢠Anticipate, react and resolve operational problems with urgency
⢠Resolve potential pitfalls in the planning, production and / or post-production process
⢠Establish and maintain relationships with internal partners in support of their production efforts
⢠Oversee cue sheets as well as rights and permissions process for proper submission, clarification and organization
⢠Ensure that the archiving of projects is done in accordance with our SOPs
⢠Create project budgets for potential series, shows and specials
⢠Check story budgets with producers and follow the overall budget
⢠Help to obtain and archive documentation (insurance certificate, releases, licenses, etc.)
⢠Be on the set and / or in the field, if necessary
⢠Ensure that locations in 30 Rock are available for filming if necessary
⢠Be the point of contact for shoots and work with the digital video production team to help coordinate
⢠5 or more years of experience in production management, post-production, digital media and / or a related field
⢠Experience as a production manager in daily news, live and / or fast
⢠Experience in coordinating teams across all verticals with tasks related to planning in the digital space
⢠Proven skills in interpersonal, organizational, written and oral communication
⢠Ability to manage multiple concurrent workflows and priorities simultaneously
⢠Field production experience
⢠Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to be a proactive problem solver
⢠Professional judgment and discretion in handling confidential information
⢠Ability to work well both independently and collaboratively within a team
⢠Must be willing to work in New York (this role would work remotely until further notice)
⢠Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, under tight deadlines, including breaking news
⢠Must be able to work overtime beyond the scheduled shift with little or no notice if required
⢠Knowledge of Adobe Suite, Final Cut, Avid Media Composer and a variety of transcoding codecs
⢠Experience with production authorizations, licenses and archiving
⢠Social media, OTT and / or data geek, with a passion for hybrid production environments
⢠Hands-on experience with Sony, Canon and other digital cameras and SLRs
⢠Exposure to field documentary production or storytelling an asset
⢠Knowledge of project management software such as Smartsheet, an asset
