Paddington is edited in every movie imaginable with hilarious pictures

Everyone’s favorite bear has appeared in a wide variety of familiar movie scenes, thanks to hilarious photoshopped footage from a Paddington fan.

Paddington is edited into every movie imaginable with hilarious images from a dedicated fan. The famous bear, who began his long career as a character in a series of children’s books by author Michael Bond in 1958, has proven in recent years that he still stands the test of time. With two highly successful films under his belt in the past six years, fans of all ages are eager to see the third film. Paddington franchise to arrive, although little is known about it.

Surprisingly, although Paddington’s fan base is vast and he’s widely regarded as one of the most classic children’s characters ever created, it took a long time for the first film in the series to arrive. After being announced in 2007, the project faced several challenges for its production, with Colin Firth initially signing for Voice Paddington. However, it was Firth who ultimately realized he was no good for the role, and he voluntarily stepped down after principal photography was completed in 2014. It didn’t take long for StudioCanal to find their next Paddington, however, as Ben Whishaw took on the role and has remained the voice of the friendly bear ever since. More recently, Paddington 2 became Rotten Tomatoes’ greatest film of all time, proving that the character shows no signs of slowing down, with audiences and critics alike finding much to love in the 2017 feature film.

As with most characters or movies lucky enough to have a large fan base, Paddington is regularly celebrated in fan art. But Reddit user JaytheChou turned fan art into more than just a way to recognize Paddington’s effortless appeal. Using basic images of the beloved bear, a challenge was created to paste Paddington into a wide variety of films. Right now, this effort has been going on for 75 days, under the title “I Photoshop Paddington in Another Movie Until I Forget.” The results are quite spectacular, with Paddington included in scenes from films like AND, The Lord of the Rings, Eyes Wide Shut, and Casino Royale, to name a few. A handful of the artist’s creations can be seen below.

It can be argued that in recent weeks since Paddington 2 Turned out to be Rotten Tomatoes’ number one movie, the franchise got a huge publicity boost. It’s been four years since the last entry in the series was released, and for some Paddington fans, Paddington 2 is the top movie in the franchise. In fact, one of the stars of the film, Hugh Grant, has said that he thinks the film is the best work of his career. Whether that is the case or not is a whole different matter, but Grant has starred in some great movies over the years – although nothing compares to what Paddington has accomplished in JaytheChou’s ongoing Reddit project.

The exact reason Paddington works so well in photoshopped movie scenes is probably because it’s so absurd. It’s hard to have anything negative to say about Peru’s darkest naive little bear and this public willingness to accept Paddington no matter what part of its charm. For now, JaytheChou’s photos are sure to keep fans entertained, but for anyone who saw and loved the first two Paddington films, a third installment cannot arrive soon enough.
