Majestic 10, Burlington area cinema, reopens after closing
A Burlington-area movie theater known for its summer blockbusters has announced its own blockbuster – its reopening.
Majestic 10, located at Maple Tree Place in Williston, begins showing films on Friday. The theater announced on social media Monday that it would be open at the end of the week.

The theater closed in March 2020 with the arrival of the COVID-19 virus. With Vermont having the the highest vaccination rate in the country, indoor theaters gradually opened in Chittenden County this summer. The Roxy in downtown Burlington resumption of film screenings on June 25.]

Both companies are owned by Merrill Theater Corp. The company also manages the Palace 9 in South Burlington, which has not reopened.
The Majestic 10 lineup includes some of this summer’s biggest movies. The Marvel Studios movie “Black Widow”, the “Boss Baby” sequel “Family Business”, “The Suicide Squad”, “Jungle Cruise” and “Space Jam: A New Legacy” are all planned.
The other films which will be screened at the Majestic 10 upon its return are “The Forever Purge”, “Old” and “The Green Knight”. According to its Facebook page, the theater is offering free popcorn with any ticket purchased this weekend.
