Would you have the courage to go to the swimming pool?
Hailing from Cleethorpes, Jamie says, “It’s more than going to the movies. There is a live interactive experience. For obvious reasons, I can’t say too much but I promise it will be spectacular. happening all the time – especially in the water. ”

Jamie explains, “I have had countless conversations with other Northerners and Scots regarding the lack of performance cinema events outside of the capital.
“While there is a fantastic theatrical scene in the North, cities like Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Sheffield, Hull and Edinburgh are at the heart of the comedy – the lack of well-funded and high-production interactive film events is evident. , which ultimately brings you back to the idea that northern moviegoers are looking for something a little different. “
He had lived in London for 12 years before returning recently to the region.
Jamie said: “I have gained incredible experience and friends, but my heart and family have always been by the sea, in my hometown of Cleethorpes.
“But while I was in London there was a company there called Secret Cinema that started doing little things like showing the movie ‘Shawshank Redemption’ in a real abandoned prison – a former prison that had been abandoned. .

“They’ve managed to grow into a £ 90million business doing immersive Star Wars, Back to the Future cinematic experiences. The events are also great. I loved it. But the only problem was that they never did. left London. So I thought, I could capitalize on that. “
The businessman born in Cleethorpes has already taken a keen interest in the event.
Jamie comments: “People bought tickets in Hull. They told me they were eager to try this experience. It’s something they’ve never done before, but they’re so excited to try it.
“They also say it’s fantastic that events like this hit the area. We try to keep it as local as possible by buying from local businesses and hosting these events in North Lincolnshire.”
And Jamie has a lot more ideas in the think tank.

“I have a lot of other ideas that we are still thinking of doing. We just hope next month’s event goes very well and it would be great to involve the locals in what will be something completely new and fantastic.” , he said.
There’s no need to worry that a killer white shark is in the pool – but it will make an appearance on the big screen.
The deep end of the pool will be completely cordoned off with a 20ft screen to cover the area so the audience can enjoy the movie.
The Cleethorpes Leisure Center will host the event on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 October.
The film will start at 7:55 p.m. and end around 10 p.m.
A VIP package is also available for those who wish to enter the Cleethorpes Leisure Center early.
