Ice Cube walks away from $ 9 million bag for vaccination warrant on set of upcoming comedy

Ice Cube’s stance on mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations just cost it $ 9 million.
According to The Hollywood Reporter (THR), the Friday star would have braked producers of Sony’s upcoming comedy, Oh hell no, when they asked for him to be vaccinated. The 52-year-old artist has given up his role in the film because of the demand.
Although none of the parties involved have commented on his departure, the film has been plagued by another setback since its inception. The co-star of the other film, Jack Black, who is also a producer of the film, was injured in June while pulling a gag for the final episode of Conan.
Sony is looking for a replacement for Cube, but it is uncertain whether the $ 9 million bag will be handed over to the new actor.
Even though Cube refused the vax, he spoke about wearing masks. THR reported that the former NWA leader forged a 2,000 mask donation campaign in August. He also created a line of t-shirts to encourage mask wear during the early part of the pandemic. The âCheck Yo Self Before You Wreck Yo Selfâ t-shirts were in partnership with Black Out and the proceeds were donated to frontline healthcare workers.
Reactions to Cube’s decision to drop out have varied on social media. More people seemed to think it was stupid not to have received the vaccine.
How are you going to lose $ 9,000,000 for refusing to vaccinate WHILE your mother-in-law is in the hospital, maybe dying from COVID-19 ??? (I know his brother-in-law) https://t.co/c0EVDz5xwx

Another super rich person turned down millions, just because they needed to be vaccinated, and chose not to. Ice Cube and Kyrie Irving both have the right to choose, but don’t expect me to jump on the * thoughts and prayers * bandwagon if and when the shit falls.

The problem with Ice Cube’s situation is that he can afford to say ‘no’ to $ 9 million more than a vaccine, but most black people can’t afford to lose their jobs. . Our communities have been disproportionately affected by COVID-19, both health and economically.

Vaccinations for actors and crew on Hollywood sets have been a hot issue since Tinseltown resumed planning. In July, the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) and top industry guilds including SAG-AFTRA, IATSE, DGA and Teamster announcement guidelines for ensuring the safety of stars and crew on set. A vote determined that producers could require participants, including actors, to be fully vaccinated in order to work on a project.
Given the cube net value $ 160 million, he can afford to decide whether he wants to work or not.
