Although the Star wars The Hyperspace Lounge will be open to all ages during the day and will have plenty of non-alcoholic drinks for guests of all ages, it was designed for adults.
The Orlando Sentry recently spoke to some of the Imagineers behind Disney’s new space inspired by a galaxy far, far away:
âWe heard from adults, why are Star Wars experiences limited to children’s spaces,â Imagineer and project coordinator Sachi Handke said, noting that they would hear things like, âMy kids are Star fans. Wars because I’m a Star Wars fan and I imbued them with that fandom.

The newspaper article then stated:
The space is meant to feel lavish, taking inspiration from the character ship Dryden Vos seen in “Solo: A Star Wars Story” or the Canto Bight casino town seen in “Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi”.
What’s in the works is an upscale bar as if travelers were on a yacht-class spacecraft. For those who venture into space, it will be as if they leave the Disney cruise ship and board a ship in this galaxy far, far away. This includes a promised sliding door with a signature, âwhoooshâ sound.

Oddly enough, it looks like the Imagineering department is trying to create a space extremely similar to the next one Star wars: The Galactic Starcruiser Hotel, an immersive experience that will open at Walt Disney World Resort in spring 2022.

The Art of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge the coffee table book shared details on the Starcruiser design, which will contrast with Disney’s gritty feel Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Planet, Batuu:
While Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is a bit dusty and gritty – like Route 66 from Star Wars – the Halcyon was meant to feel modern and sleek; Imagineering and Lucasfilm wanted the Halcyon to live on the opposite side of the specter. If customers were only able to stay for two nights, they wanted them to feel like well-off travelers with a great experience. It was an opportunity to play with other models of more elegant spaceships presented in Star Wars. Think the lush Dryden Vos yacht, fragrant with glossy surfaces, artifacts, elite clientele, and stylish entertainment. Or, consider Canto Bight’s opulence with its scintillating curves, sparkling glassware, and expansive spaces.

The sleek new salon will also feature some high-tech engineering in order to bring the Star wars universe to life for the guests. The Sentinel share:
Once inside, every hour or so, a giant 16,000-pixel screen will display scenes moving among six planets in the Star Wars galaxy, each lasting 7 to 10 minutes. They include Tatooine, Mustafar, Batuu, Coruscant, the Moons of Endor, and a scene including the Ace Squadron, which are characters from a Disney cartoon called âStar Wars Resistanceâ.
âIt’s like four movie theaters side by side,â concept designer Nick Snyder said. âThis is the kind of resolution we’re talking about here.
