Avatar Re-release Gets Exclusive Dolby Cinema Poster
Avatar has been remastered and will be released in theaters on September 23, in anticipation of Avatar: The Way of the Water finally hits theaters in December. To help celebrate, Dolby Cinema released their own poster for the re-release, ahead of tickets going on sale for screenings in their theaters. The highest-grossing film of all time, the film won three of the nine Oscars it was nominated for in 2010 and revolutionized 3D cinema. As much as people joke about it now, it was a cultural phenomenon; there is no doubt. Check out the new poster below.
I Still Can’t Believe The Avatar Sequel Will Be Coming This Year
“AVATAR takes us to a spectacular world beyond imagination, where a reluctant hero embarks on an epic adventure, ultimately battling to save the alien world he has come to call home. James Cameron, Director Oscar winner of Titanic, first conceived the film 15 years ago, when the means to realize his vision did not yet exist, today, after four years of production, AVATAR, an action film with a new generation of special effects, offers a completely immersive cinematic experience of a new kind, where the revolutionary technology invented to make the film disappears in the emotion of the characters and the breadth of the story.”
Although I never liked this movie for various reasons, I can’t even deny that it was one of the best cinematic experiences I’ve ever had. james cameron, every time he makes a movie, changes the game more than anyone who’s ever been behind a camera, and I’m damn curious what he might have in store for us in December. Before that, I think I need to recheck this on the big screen to remember what happened in that original movie.
