Ariana DeBose wins Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor

Steven spielberg‘s West Side StoryAriana DeBose is reaping the rewards of his hard work. The actress was recognized for her performance and has just become one of the big winners of the 79th edition of the Golden Globes.
DeBose won the award for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture (Female) for West Side Story, overcome Kirsten dunst (The power of the dog), Ruth negga (Who passed), Caitriona balfe (Belfast), and Aunjanue Ellis (king richard).
DeBose took to social media after her earnings, saying being “recognized” is a “special” feeling. “There is still work to be done, but when you’ve worked so hard on a project – steeped in blood, sweat, tears and love – seeing the work and recognizing it will always be special. Thank you, ”she wrote.

Fans of the actress sent her congratulatory messages and assured her that Ariana deserved all the great things. “Ariana DeBose absolutely deserves all the awards for her role as Anita in West Side Story! Congratulations on your Golden Globe, ”the person wrote, while another Twitter user said:“ Congratulations, @ArianaDeBose! People are still learning how awesome West Side Story is every day! On to the Oscars!

DeBose’s victory comes after the Golden Globes ceremony couldn’t find a broadcast TV network, famous hosts, or even celebrities willing to walk the red carpet. Like HELLO ! United States previously reported, the entertainment industry decided to boycott the show over its recent diversity and ethics scandal. Variety also noted that the award’s talent bookers could not guarantee the participation in the 2022 edition of one of Hollywood’s most important and famous personalities.
The Golden Globes, which bestowed accolades from 87 members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, came under fire and sparked public scrutiny in March 2021 when more than 100 PR firms announced they would no longer cooperate with the ‘event. Prominent Hollywood figures also criticized the organization, leading the NBC network to call off its partnership.
After the scandal, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) made changes and, through their publicist, informed HELLO ! United States that “in October 2021, the HFPA added 21 new members, bringing the total membership to 103. Of these new members, 48% identify as women; 29% identify as Black; 24% identify as Asian; 29% identify as Latinx; 19% identify as Middle East / North Africa.
