6 Clint Eastwood films back in theaters to celebrate 50 years of career
Go make my day. Ok, we’ll do it! Classic Clint Eastwood films are returning to the cinema. In honor of Eastwood’s 50th anniversary in Hollywood, Warner Bros. has a list of theatrical reissues, in-person events, and HBO Max and cable programming across multiple networks. This will include exhibits featuring elements from past Eastwood films, a documentary series and six of the crying macho the star’s best-known films are returning to select theaters for a limited time. “Dirty Harry”, “Unforgiven” and more to return to theaters in fall 2021
Eastwood works with Warner Bros. for decades. His production company, Malpaso Productions, has struck a deal with Warner Bros. in 1975, marking nearly 50 years of partnership. Eastwood’s newest western, cries macho, debuted on HBO Max and in theaters on September 17. crying macho will remain on the streaming service for 30 days. There is also an Eastwood collection on HBO Max called “Clint Eastwood: 50 Years of Filmmaking”. HBO Max’s “Clint Eastwood: 50 Years of Filmmaking” collection includes “essentials” from its catalog, that is, all of the movies he’s starred in, directed in, or both for which Warner Bros. has streaming rights.

Clint Eastwood Documentary Series Coming to Digital, Cable and Blu-ray Platforms
Eastwood himself has curated a section that includes his favorite movies on the streaming service. And there are the “Actor Influence” and “Cowboys & Outlaws” sections. The first is a collection of films featuring actors who cite Eastwood as the inspiration for their work. The latter is a whole bunch of westerns. The final part of the collection is the “Director Spotlight”, a list of films by “accomplished authors with distinctive styles”.
HBO Max’s Eastwood documentary series, Clint Eastwood – A Cinematic Legacy is already available for streaming in the collection. The nine-episode series breaks down the star’s directing and acting styles and how he has influenced the industry over the past 50 years. Steven Spielberg, Morgan Freeman and other stars appear in the episodes, which are approximately 20 minutes each.
Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will also air the documentary series, along with two Eastwood films per night on October 6 and 23. CNN will also broadcast the documentary series, as well as other content about his life in the cinema. A museum exhibit dedicated to Eastwood’s many projects will be open from October 6 to November 29 in Dallas, Texas.
