Bartender Kenneth “Sonny Bones” Donato’s whiskey sour can be seen in “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” when Rick Dalton (Leonardo Dicaprio) sips a whiskey sour while waiting to meet Agent Marvin Schwartz (Al Pacino). Musso & Frank’s was the favorite watering hole of F. Scott Fitzgerald, William Faulkner (who mixed his own mint juleps) and Ernest Hemingway.

Opened in March 2004, Rick’s Cafe was designed by American architect and designer Bill Willis, who decorated the space with brass, dramatic lighting, sculpted marble, and intricate tile. Champagne flows freely in the film, as in real life. Three house specialty cocktails include Veuve Clicquot (Apricot Velvet, Orange Glamor and Coup D’Orange).
